Rethinking Teachers’ Training Process: Preservice Teachers’ Experiences of Teaching in South African Rurally Located Schools

For Africa to meet its teaching demands, especially in South Africa, there is a need improve the quality process of recruiting teachers. If this not improved, teachers' output questioned and affects country. This poses question about training young teachers African schools hiccup that has deterred motive training. The pre-service teachers’ challenges have been noted literature researchers’ experience with field evaluations. study aims get into world challenges, find solution practical problems they practice, on them bring seamless programme. We used expectancy theory theorise study. Individual unstructured interviews were conducted gather data. A purposeful sampling procedure was employed as targeted audience student practice. case also access two consisting six from locally located schools, evaluators, one supervisor overseeing affairs practice committee rural university Africa. data analysed using Thematic Analysis (TA). findings revealed selected faced ranging transportation accommodation for teachers, lack basic amenities corruption by principals supply school needs, dealing truant learners, rurally textbook learners Nonetheless, providing social books proper account checks Department Basic Education (DBE) officials sanction corrupt principals, financial aid students housing will make memorable blissful one.
